P. Bineesha is the Executive Director of International Institute of Waste Management (IIWM) and is also working as the Senior Advisor, GIZ, a German Government Undertaking, in Bangalore.
Ms. Bineesha is an Environmental Scientist with 19 years broad-based experience in the field of Environmental Management. Her Specialisation includes Urban and Rural Environment Management. She has been a field scientist, conceptualising and piloting several environmental projects and then successfully monitoring its replication. She has executed more than 90 projects related to Waste Management (Hazardous Waste, Bio-Medical Waste, E-Waste and Domestic Solid Waste), Environment Impact Assessment, Due Diligence studies, Watershed Management, Social Assessment, Effluent Treatment, Air Pollution Mitigation, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Logistics Management and Environment Audits.
She is working knowledge of Indian Environmental Regulations, in addition to exposure to International regulations. She is conversant with Techno-Economic Analysis of projects. She has undertaken several evaluations of bilateral projects in India.She has worked on projects of World Bank, UNDP, NORAD, GTZ, WASTE Netherlands, DANIDA, USAID, UNEP, UNIDO, CIDA, SIDA, SECO, SDC etc.
