Anup Vikal

Anup is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Snapdeal, India’s most impactful digital commerce ecosystem that creates life-changing experiences for buyers and sellers. Started in 2010, Snapdeal is India’s largest online marketplace, with the widest assortment of over 15 million products across more than 500 diverse categories from thousands of regional, national, and international brands and retailers. With millions of users and 200,000 sellers, Snapdeal is the shopping destination for internet users across the country, delivering to over 5,000 cities and towns in India. Snapdeal has partnered with several global marquee investors and individuals such as SoftBank, BlackRock, eBay Inc., Premji Invest, Intel Capital, and Ratan Tata, among others.

Anup is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience and exposure to multiple geographies including India, USA, Western Europe, UK and Japan. In his vast career, he has gained invaluable experience of working in diverse sectors such as Banking and Financial services, Telecom, ITES, and Aviation and Hospitality.

Over the years, Anup has exhibited strong leadership competencies in funding and treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions, customer and technology orientation. He possesses strong entrepreneurial and commercial acumen, and the ability to build and motivate large teams to drive and achieve results.

Anup has extensive exposure to funding, transactions including M&A, managing liquidity events, creating and managing joint ventures and managing complex legal and regulatory environments. He is also credited with building and nurturing very robust governance structures in high growth and complex regulatory environments.

Prior to joining Snapdeal, Anup was the CFO of Aircel, one of India’s leading innovative telecom services providers. His past assignments include being the Group CFO and Head of strategy & IT at InterGlobe Enterprises, Chief Planning Officer at Bharti Airtel Limited and stints with Colt Telecom Plc, Citicorp and Tata Home Finance.
