Amit is currently head the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Information and Technology Department.
Amit oversees all party related communication through digital channels. This includes drafting election strategies (includes devising digital communication strategies and electoral analytics) for poll bound states and ensuring effective implementation. Reaching out to volunteers and engaging them is a significant part of his role. He is responsible for strengthening his organisation, training cadres and ensuring that state units are constantly being up-tiered. Not to mention, ensuring that as a user, the party is always on the cutting edge of technology.
Before this, Amit co-founded a national movement called the Friends of BJP, which was aimed at creating a platform for facilitating interaction of India’s rising middle class with the political class.
Amit was a banker before taking up full time responsibility with the party. He worked with leading multinational banks, such as Bank of America, HSBC and Calyon among others, and held senior positions.
