Darren is currently the Head of Corporate Affairs/Public Policy & Public Relations for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for Australia & New Zealand. He is charged with transforming the approach to brand and positioning with key stakeholders and customers across both countries as well as improving operational initiatives for one of the worlds’ most community-minded organizations.
Prior to joining TCS, Darren was Lead Community Affairs Manager for the national broadband network (nbn) with responsibility for Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Accountabilities by Local Government Area across include: Community, Government, Stakeholder and Media Relations as well as issues management. Darren is an official company spokesperson.
Prior to his role at NBNCo, Darren held leadership positions in Strategy, Operations, Program Management and Government Relations at Alcatel-Lucent across Asia Pacific for 12 years. He has also built his career with domestic and international postings at AT&T Corporation, IBM and BHP.
Darren actively contributes back to the community and was a founding partner and the Deputy National Chairman of Table4Ten, and a former Board Member of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. He is currently advising on the strategy evolution various not-for-profits. Darren has been the President of the Alumni of the Australian School of Business and AGSM at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney and a member of the national Alumni Advisory Board.
Darren holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and Communication from the University of Wollongong, a MBA (Executive) from the AGSM at UNSW, and is currently undertaking a Master International Relations at the University of Sydney. He has also undertaken Executive Education at Michigan and Harvard Universities.
