Anshul Gupta is an accomplished public servant with over 14 years of diverse experience in urban and rural governance, law enforcement, cybercrime, investment banking, consulting, e-governance and urban administration. He is B.Tech & M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, and PGP from IIM, Bangalore.

As IAS Officer, Anshul is currently serving as Deputy Secretary to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, where his job includes providing governance advice, assisting in policy formulation and implementation, coordinating between various departments. As Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State IT Corporation his key task is to facilitate investments in IT and electronics sectors, introducing innovative schemes, overseeing automation and software development for various government departments.

His experience includes key roles in municipal governance, such as Municipal Commissioner and Executive Director of Smart City Ujjain, where he implemented Rs 1000 Cr smart city project. As CEO Zila Panchayat Umaria, he focused on various aspects of rural development like livelihood, women empowerment, sustainable development, community participation, housing for all, Swachh Bharat programme, water to every household and various beneficiary-oriented cash transfer scheme.

Anshul is a Chevening Cyber Security Fellow of 2016 cohort and as law enforcement officer served in Indian state of UP in various capacities at cities of Aligarh, Bareilly, Moradabad and Jhansi, he has also worked at Goldman Sachs and Wipro Consulting Services.
