GOLAN NAULAK
Golan Naulak is a regional development professional and policy researcher with an interest in the interface between politics, policy and development. He has over 10 years of experience in project management, government relations and policy advocacy in the verticals of healthcare, education, climate change and livelihood.
A Chevening Scholar alumna from SOAS, University of London, he has worked with Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI), Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and also taught Political Science at St Joseph’s University, Bengaluru. He has also written Op-Ed pieces for The Hindu, Deccan Herald, The Wire and DNA amongst others. Deeply invested in the local community networks, working with youth groups, grassroots organisations and leaders on community mobilisation, research and advocacy.
He is also one of the founders of Highland Impact, a youth-led social enterprise focusing on last mile delivery of services in the remotest parts of North East India, and a cofounder of Indo-Myanmar Borderland Institute (IMBI).
Currently, he is a part of Regeneration Meghalaya, an ambitious large scale afforestation and conservation project in Meghalaya State, North East India.
