Latika Bourke

Latika was born in Bettiah in the impoverished Indian state of Bihar and adopted eight months later by Australian parents. She was raised in New South Wales Central West and became a journalist at the age of 20, presenting her own talkback radio show in Bathurst and is now a Political reporter in the Canberra Press Gallery. She returned to India for the first time last year and plans to write a book about her experiences.
