D N V Kumara Guru

Mr Guru is Director of External Relations at the Indian School of Business (ISB). In his current role he manages the school’s relationship with key external stakeholders and helps strengthen ISB’s public engagement. Previously, Mr Guru has worked with the Dean’s Office, Development, Learning Resource Centre, IT, Academic Services and Administration at ISB. He helped establish the school’s second campus in Mohali.

Mr Guru has experience working with the Jain Group of Institutions, Bangalore where he led various functions including: Admissions, Marketing, and Public Relations and helped establish the group’s University project. He led a team which was responsible for incubating the group’s new institutions. During his tenure, the Jain Group grew from a single affiliated college with 1000 students to an educational supermarket of 21 institutions with over 15000 students.

Mr Guru is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur. He is the National Chairman of Young Indians, an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry. His theme for the year is ‘Building a New India through Youth Leadership’. Young Indians is a pan India organisation with chapters in 34 cities, and growing. He tweets at @KumaraGuru.
