Ananth Lakshman

Ananth Lakshman is a lawyer with a focus in developmental economics. He is presently a consultant with the Planning Commission in New Delhi. As a consultant, Ananth is a member of the Public Private Partnership & Infrastructure division where he is advising on law and policy across various sectors with public assets of significant importance. His primary area of interest is analyzing the efficiency of legal policy and the intended & unintended consequences associated with it.

Ananth’s past assignments have been in the private sector where he was an attorney in a leading Indian and US firm where he advised on cross-border M&A and private equity transactions. He is a graduate from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and completed his post-graduate studies in Law & Economics from the University of Chicago. He is an attorney licensed in India and New York, USA.
