Nigel Hembrow

Nigel Hembrow is an Australian entrepreneur. He is focussed on Asia and based in Singapore, but with the amount of time he spends there you would be forgiven for thinking Nigel lives in India.

Over the past two years Nigel, with his Co-Founder Dhruv, have been heavily focussed on building a global operational base for their venture in South Delhi, which focus primarily on software for the media industry. In addition to this, Nigel’s interests vary from mobile learning to social enterprise, vocational training, craft beer, and anything that leverages the massive trend of mobile-first internet penetration in emerging markets. Above all, he believes in the power of great teams, strong ethics and effective communication. Nigel has a family background in property development and has worked in that industry in London and Queensland. He studied at Melbourne Business School (MBS) (with exchange at China European Business School, Shanghai) and for the past four years has served on the MBS Alumni Council, helping engage the MBS community in South, South-East Asia and China.

By attending AIYD, Nigel hopes to share his stories, and to listen to others’, with the aim of inspiring and assisting Australians to be more ambitious and confident towards doing business with India, in India and Australia.
