Shalailah Medhora
Shalailah is a cross-platform journalist with experience in online, television and radio. Before joining the young and vibrant team at Guardian Australia in October 2014, she worked as a TV reporter and producer for SBS. Since 2011, Shalailah has been based in the capital, Canberra, mainly covering federal politics. But she enjoys covering stories of relevance to ethnically-diverse communities, as well as the important and often overlooked stories on domestic violence.
She was Australia’s representative for the World Press Institute fellowship in the United States in 2014, and worked with journalists in Bangladesh in 2015 as part of a democracy-building workshop run by the International Republican Institute.
