Marcus Agnew

Marcus is Chief of Staff to the CEO of UPL, a leading global agri-inputs company with a strong presence in India and more than 130 countries. Marcus is passionate about the intersection of agriculture and technology, and the need to improve sustainability within global food systems while simultaneously helping raise farmers’ standards of living. He sees the transformation of modern agriculture as integral to addressing the planet’s key environmental challenges – climate change, the overuse of scarce resources, and biodiversity loss – while simultaneously ensuring sustainable food security for the growing global population. He believes in the power of collaboration between the private, public and social sectors to help agriculture deliver change at a local level, through technology investments that improve environmental sustainability and efficiency, regulation to ensure better incentives, and social movements to build consumer awareness about how their choices impact outcomes.
