Sri Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu working as a Vice Chairman of Vignan Group of Institutions, headquartered at Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The Vignan Group of educational institutions are under Lavu Educational Trust, (founded in 1983), the flagship institution of the group being Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (VFSTR), a Deemed-to-be University located in Vadlamudi of Guntur district. The Vignan Group is serving all layers of education from primary to tertiary levels, with a current student base of around 45,000 spread across the two states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.
Over the last 4 ½ decades Vignan has been rendering yeoman service towards promoting high standards in education and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
Thanks to Vignan, though the University is set up in a rural area has been able to produce 75% first time graduates and contributed towards upliftment of families belonging to the agricultural background by raising them from the lower rungs of the society to high income levels and enjoying good standard of life.
Sri Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, son of the visionary Chairman of the Vignan Group, Sri. Lavu Rathaiah is an erudite, socially committed humanitarian, who within a short span of 4 to 5 years of joining the Vignan Group has given a new direction to the institutions. Presently, he is heading and helping to shape the institutions by incorporating best practices of premiere institutions from across the world.
Sri Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, received a popular mandate and has won the recently concluded parliamentary elections in India to become one of the youngest parliamentarians in June 2019. He is currently an Honourable Member of Standing Committee on Human Resource Development & Member of Consultative Committee on Animal Husbandry, Dairy & Fisheries, Government of India.
