Lyndon Gannon
Lyndon Gannon is a Councillor at the City of Sydney. Since being elected he has served as Deputy Chair of the City’s Cultural and Creative Committee. His passion for the community and commitment to supporting local businesses thrive motivated him to run for election.
Prior to his local government service, Lyndon advised senior government Ministers at both the State and Federal levels. This included federal Treasurer, Joe Hockey, and the NSW Minister for Arts, Energy and Utilities, Resources and Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council, Don Harwin.
Lyndon is an active member of the NSW Liberal Party, and regularly delivers local government reports at Party events. He has also served the Party as its candidate for the State seats of Balmain and Sydney.
Prior to advising government Ministers, Lyndon staffed for one of Australia’s leading national government relations companies, Barton Deakin, which covers broad areas including defence, finance, and energy. He currently work for Transport for NSW.
Lyndon also has an entrepreneurial background having driven several projects to evolve Sydney’s night life, namely rooftop bar transformations, though these have been deferred due to Council commitments. With these experiences he brings a strong business mindset to decisions at Council.
