Auskar Surbakti

Auskar Surbakti is an award-winning journalist and anchor with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). He is a reporter and presenter for the nightly international news and current affairs program, The World, which is broadcast nationally on ABC News 24 and overseas on the ABC’s international service, Australia Plus. Before joining the ABC, Auskar worked for the SBS network where he was a foreign correspondent, reporting across Asia and Europe.

His reports have also appeared on CNN. Auskar is also a consultant with the World Bank, hosting discussions on development issues in the Asia-Pacific region.
