Avi Naidu

Avi is a Founder and Managing Director of the Taronga Group of companies.

Prior to founding Taronga, Avi Founded and was Managing Director of Aura Funds Management – a wholesale fund manager specialising in funds for high net worth and institutional investors in real estate, venture capital and private equity.

Prior to Aura Funds Management, Avi was an investment banker with a leading independent corporate advisory firm, where he worked across sectors including industrials, telecommunications, media & technology, resources, and financial services, advising both public and private companies on a range of M&A transactions and general corporate advisory work.

Prior to this Avi was a solicitor at leading regional law firm, Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) based in the Sydney office. At Mallesons, Avi practiced in the Corporate Group specialising in M&A, funds management, equity capital markets, public takeovers, private treaty acquisitions / disposals, and general corporate advisory work. Avi also practiced in the Real Estate and Projects Group where he focused on real estate development projects and financing.

Avi is currently a Non-Executive director of an ASX listed technology company, where he sits on both the remuneration and audit committees. Avi holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales and is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.
