Michael Koss

Michael is the Founder and CEO of Global Patient Portal, a free web based electronic health record system that has been designed to optimise preventative care in developing countries. His focus has been India for the past 2 years where he spends extensive periods working with healthcare providers, NGOs, technology companies and government agencies. He frequently speaks at technology and healthcare conferences in India.

He is passionate about seizing the opportunity to empower vulnerable populations through technology and has done extensive research with the help of world-class educational institutions to better craft ethical solutions and utilize big data.
Prior to founding Global Patient Portal, Michael worked as a Commercial Lawyer in Melbourne. He holds a Bachelor of Arts / Laws and a Master of Laws from Monash University. He has also worked as a mediator in commercial disputes. He has worked at companies including BHP Billion, Telstra and Boeing running process improvement projects and providing advice on developing operation efficiency.
