Sagina Walyat

Sagina Walyat, a lawyer and policymaker, has been recognised for her work in social justice and human rights. She practices in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. She is an AsiaGlobal Fellow 2022 at the University of Hong Kong and has been invited to the World Woman Summit. Sagina is a pro bono legal assistance provider and has impacted over two hundred thousand women's lives. She has collaborated with regional local administrations to implement anti-sexual harassment laws and has partnered with national and international organizations to research and modify legislation and policies. She founded the Beacon of Rights Foundation to expand work on women empowerment, misinformation, education, and sexual and reproductive health rights in rural India.
